The Lagos State Vulcanizers Association endorsed the Presidential Candidate of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the return bid of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. The Association members who came in their thousands made this important declaration during their visit to the State Headquarters of Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/ Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC) on Oduduwa Crescent, Ikeja.

Addressing the teeming members, Director General of the ICC, Mr. Tayo Ayinde expressed his appreciation for the massive turnout. He assured the team and their leadership of the State Government support, particularly on the procurement of the newly built Solar Powered Air Compressor Pumping Machine.

According to Mr. Ayinde, the machine was an innovation undertaken designed to ease the enterprise of Vulcanizers across the state. He submitted that the gesture was one of its kind by any State Government in Nigeria to any artisans’ group.

He therefore urged the association to maximize the offer, and to reciprocate government good gesture by voting for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to also cast their votes for Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to return as Governor of Lagos State once more.

General Manager of the Lagos State Planning and Environmental Monitoring Authority (LASPEMA), Tpl. Daisi Oso, praised the Association for their massive turnout at the ICC Office, he also spoke extensively about the new vulcanizer machines which does not need fuel or oil to power.

The Deputy Director General of the campaign council Mr. Kola Peregrino admonished the association members to stand by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the coming election, saying the presidential candidate was their benefactor when he served as the Governor of the State over 15 years ago.

In his remarks, Lagos State Vulcanizers Association Chairman, Prince Aderopo Oguntunde formally presented the members of the association to the ICC leadership. He opined that all members were with their voters cards, ready to perform their civic right in favour of all candidates of APC starting from the presidential candidate.

Prince Aderopo noted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu when serving as the Governor of Lagos State granted the association request by registering it under the State Government in the year 2000. He went further to eulogize the performance of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation and subsequent demonstration of the workability of the newly built Solar Powered Air Compressor Pumping Machine.
